3 Hazards Identification

Odour: Odourless
Appearance: Solid, grey, powder
Eye contact: Causes redness and irritation
Skin contact: Causes redness and irritation, May cause dermatitis
Inhalation: May cause irritation, May cause burning sensation, Can cause damage to the mucous membranes
Ingestion: May cause gastro-intestinal disturbances

4 First-Aid Measures

Skin: Remove contaminated clothing immediately and drench affected skin with plenty of water. Then wash with soap and water. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.
Eye Contact: Seek immediate medical attention, if substance has got into the eyes, immediately was out with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Irrigate the eyes thoroughly whilst lifting the lid.
Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting, rinse mouth with water (do not swallow). Give 200-300mIs (half pint) of water to drink. Seek medical attention.
Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Keep warm and at rest. When in doubt or symptoms persist, seek medical attention.

5 Fire-Fighting Measures
Non-combustible solid.
Not flammable. In case of fire use extinguishing media appropriate to surrounding conditions.

6 Accidental Release Measures

Immediate Actions: Contain spillage by any means possible.
Clean Up Actions: Sweep or shovel up spillage and remove to a safe place. Place in a sealable container.
Special Precautions: Avoid the raising of dust.
Personal precautions: Wear suitable protective clothing as per section 8.

7 Handling and Storage

Handling: Due regard should be paid to the Manual Handling Operations regulations. Eyewash bottles should be available. Avoid contact with skin and eyes (S24/25). Do not breathe dust (S22). Do not allow dust to accumulate on surfaces and equipment.
Storage: Store in a dry place in temperature between 5°C - 25°C. Protect from frost. The product should be stored in unopened bags clear of the ground and away from excessive draughts.

8 Exposure controls/personal protection

Engineering Controls: Engineering controls should be provided which maintain airborne concentrations below the relevant guidelines.
Personal Protection: - Wear goggles giving complete eye protection
- Wear approved respirator if exposure likely to exceed MEL/OES
- Wear PVC gloves
- Wear suitable protective clothing (S36)
