3 Hazards Identification
Irritant
When cement based powders are mixed with water or when they become damp a strong alkaline solution is produced, which can cause serious burns or ulcerations to the eyes or skin. Strong alkaline solutions tend to damage nerve endings in the skin so chemical burns can develop without pain being felt at the time. In addition, cement mortars can cause irritant and allergic dermatitis.
4 First-Aid Measures
If contact with eyes seek medical attention immediately.
| Inhalation: | If irritation occurs remove to fresh air, if nose/airway become inflamed, seek medical advice. |
| Skin: | Wash thoroughly with soap and water, remove contaminated clothing and launder before re-use. If irritation pain or other skin trouble occurs, seek medical advice. |
| Eye Contact: | Irrigate eyes with clean water for at least 15 minutes, obtain medical attention immediately. |
| Ingestion: | Do not induce vomiting, wash out mouth with water and give plenty of water to drink. |
Eye wash station or means of irrigation should be readily available.

6 Accidental Release Measures
| Personal Precautions: | Wearing suitable personal protection (dust masks, gloves and goggles) as in section 8, recover spillage in dry state, if possible avoiding dust formation. |

7 Handling and Storage
| Handling: | Should use in a well-ventilated area, appropriate personal protection should be used (as per section 8) wash hands after use. |

Occupational exposure controls
| Respiratory protection: | Use dust mask which will resist respirable dust set out in the MSDS as per exposure limits in well-ventilated area. (Always follow dust mask manufacturers instructions and ensure exposure limit is not beyond the tolerance of the mask). If using in low atmosphere or poorly ventilated area consider use of respirator. |

During light applications, face protection is not normally required however; the possibility of splashing does exist during mixing (a risk assessment may be required). Wash skin with water immediately after any contact with this product as per section 4.
