For concrete sub-floors: electric underfloor heating should always be used in conjunction with a high quality thermal insulation barrier.

Where any under floor heating is installed, heat energy will travel in both directions; down as well as up. Cement floors act as a heat sink absorbing this energy, creating a large drag on the performance of the flooring above. A high quality thermal insulation barrier between the heat source and the sub-floor will significantly improve the performance of your floor heating, speeding up the initial warm up times and saving money on electricity costs - the thicker the insulation the better the results.

Simple, fingertip control

Cablewarm® is thermostatically controlled using a digital interface and floor sensor, controlling the underfloor heating system within 1° C of your temperature settings. All thermosats have 4 on/off settings within any 24 hour period, allowing complete control of the floor heating to suit your lifestyle (see cutaway image, right)

Technical

Cablewarm® underfloor heating mats are manufactured from twin conductor, thin profile (3 mm), double insulated and earth braided cables attached to a 500 mm open weave mat backing

Standard Output Heating Mats

Cablewarm®150 heating mats designed for most installations. Suitable for use over a concrete sub-floor where an additional insulation layer is being applied, or over wood sub-floors.

Heating cables are spaced at 75 mm centres to produce a standard 150 watts per square metre (W/m²) output.

High Output Heating Mats

Cablewarm®200 heating mats designed for conservatories and areas of high heat loss or where no additional insulation is being installed over a concrete sub-floor. 

Heating cables are spaced at 75 mm centres to produce 200 watts per square metre (W/m²) high output.

Variable Output Heating Cables

Cablewarm® electric heating cables will produce an output of 15 watts per linear metre and are designed for installations where a higher degree of flexibilty is required for complicated floor areas. Suitable for use over a concrete or wood sub-floor.
